ALFREDO LOPEZ (Mondragon) is a Latino folkloric music icon; a renowned singer, instrumentalist and composer — both in his own right and as leader of the pan-Latino folkloric group, Quetzalcoatl. Based in Mexico and the U.S., for more than 25 years, he's performed at important concerts and festivals around the world. His music is also heard in feature films and on television. Since he began studying folkloric music and traditions at age 11, he's mastered more than 20 regional Latino styles and plays more than 30 indigenous instruments. He's also served as musical director, composer and performer for numerous theatrical productions.
