Grand Prize winner of the 2015 Los Angeles Young Musician's Foundation Concerto Competition, soprano Kirsten Ashley Wiest has been praised for her "wonted skill" and "unique voice, unlike anyone else." Kirsten has sung as a soloist with the Grammy award-winning Partch ensemble, La Jolla Symphony and Chorus, wildUp new music collective, UCLA's John Cage Symposium, kallisti chamber opera, UCSD's Palimpsest, CalArts New Century Players, and Chapman University's New Music Ensemble. She has also sung with Bang on a Can All-Stars, red fish blue fish, San Diego Pro Arte Voices, and the Metroplex Opera Company in Dallas. Kirsten is currently a DMA student at UCSD under the instruction of Grammy award-winning soprano Susan Narucki.
