During his 30 year career, Paul Berkolds, baritone, has performed opera, musical theater, oratorio, and solo recitals in the United States, Europe, Australia, Canada, Taiwan, and Mexico. The breadth of his work includes classical, contemporary, folk, and avant-garde styles. Southern California concerts include performances with Green Umbrella, MicroFest Concert Series, Monday Evening Concerts, Jacaranda Concerts, as well as with Other Minds in San Francisco where he performed the world premiere of Ben Johnston's The Tavern for baritone and micro-tuned guitar. Berkolds has been guest vocalist on several occasions with LA's Ensemble "Partch" and recently collaborated with the group on the Grammy-winning CD Plectra and Percussion Dances, which was voted Best Classical Compendium 2014.
