TIMUR, "the extravagantly transgressive tenor" (LA Times), has made solo appearances with LA Philharmonic, Bang on a Can All-Stars, Santa Cecilia Academy, Sarasota Opera, Budapest Palace of the Arts, The Industry LA and DeVotchKa, among many others. TIMUR collaborated with many composers, including Thomas Adès, Evan Ziporyn, Silvano Bussotti, David R. Little, Mohammed Fairouz, Anne LeBaron, the late Gian-Carlo Menotti and Gregory Vajda. His band Timur and the Dime Museum, described by NPR's Here & Now as "post-punk screaming opera," recently premiered "Collapse", produced by Beth Morrison Projects and performed at Redcat, Miami Light Project, Operadagen Rotterdam and BAM 2015 Next Wave Festival. His voice is featured on the film soundtrack of Ruby Sparks. He is a faculty member of CalArts.
